Say Bye-Bye to the Yellow Pages
The Yellow Pages are part of Americana I remember fondly from my youth. And like many of my childhood memories, the Yellow Pages are fading into the sunset.
Why? That’s easy; is there anything in the Yellow Pages that you can’t find faster on your computer or phone? And considering that the Yellow Pages are only printed annually, the information is out of date the day it comes off the press. At least with the Internet, advertisers can change their listing if they move, go out-of business, etc.
So the next time your Yellow Pages rep stops by your business asking you to renew your ad, ask him/her why in your right mind you would want to continue to invest money in a product that is virtually unused.
Take my advice and save your advertising dollars and spend them more wisely. For example, try pay-per-click advertising, one of the fastest growing methods of online advertising. The greatest benefit of pay-per-click advertising is that you can actually track how well your investment is doing. And if you are not happy with the results, you can make changes to your pay-per-click campaign that will improve your results.
